Overview
As we continue to refine our engineering workflows, we are making a much-needed transition from AgilePlace (LeanKit) to Jira. This move is driven by the need for greater visibility, improved collaboration, and a unified space where all engineering teams can operate efficiently under a consistent framework.
Jira has already begun to transform the way we manage work by consolidating our project tracking, streamlining communication, and ensuring cross-team alignment within a single, structured environment. By centralizing our efforts, we can break down silos, improve transparency, and create a more cohesive system for tracking progress, dependencies, and potential blockers.
Previously, each team operated on its own board with a unique design and no standardized governance, leading to inconsistencies in how work was tracked, reported, and managed. This lack of uniformity made it challenging to gain a holistic view of our engineering initiatives, creating inefficiencies and limiting collaboration between teams. With Jira, we now have a scalable solution that brings structure, accountability, and visibility to our engineering processes, empowering teams to work more effectively and drive continuous improvement.
This transition is more than just a tool change—it’s a fundamental shift in how we operate, making it easier to align priorities, measure success, and deliver high-quality outcomes. As we continue this journey, we’ll provide ongoing guidance, training, and best practices to ensure a smooth and successful adoption across all teams.

As you can see from just these two boards (from AgilePlace), there is no consistency, making it difficult to standardize workflows and track progress effectively.
